One
of "Awesome" left today. And I would lie if I'd say I don't
feel nothing. She is special. Kaisu is special. And as I realized at
one point of this week, these people here are not just friends. They
are family. Family from different parts of the world who don't care
where do you come from and don't judge you because of who you really
are ...
When I came back to Padova, I realized why I love this life here. Yes, I'm not studying that much but.. Here you just feel awesome and special. After spending 2 days at home, making Kaisu's collage (tell about that later), I finally met the others on Sunday and we went to La befana. La befana is (as far as I've understood) a Veneto tradition about our three kings' day but it's more than their Christmas and saying good-bye to the last year. So on Sunday there was a huge fire at Prato della Valle, the choir was singing and all the people from Padova seemed to be there. After celebration we had our reunion dinner @Asia's place which is next to the train station. As we were eating pasta carbonara, drinking weisbier, singing and dancing again it somehow lead to pijama party so in the end me and Thorina, Kaisu as well stayed there..
On Monday came Patrick but as he had birthday on 5th, we wanted to make him a surprise birthday party. Actually it didn't go so well because he arrived earlier than we thought but still we surprised him with the balloons and pizza, so again it was pretty nice. On that day we decided to go to Miami but before in march there is going to be a trip to Tallinn and Helsinki!!!! :)
On Tuesday morning I woke up because one guy just jumped to my bed. Hei Magnus! The world traveller finally arrived. Why world traveller? As Tromsö is so far away he had to take the flights Tromsö-Oslo-Venice but as travelling never works out that way, he missed the Oslo-Venice flight so he booked a new flight to Vienna and came by the night train to Venice. As Kaisu said, I would give him the award of travelling. For sure!
But me and mia mamma Asia were good and went to italian language course where we only had 7 people but I have to say I really enjoyed it. It's always nice to talk about your vacation at home, shock the people (especially chinese) that you had -22 degrees and snow...
As Moritz and Amaia had to arrive on the same time and I couldn't have made it to the station, I went to Ederle residence to meet them but apparently, they still would have wanted me there.. SCUSA MI :(
But finally AWESOME was cosi-cosi completed and once again we had dinner at Ederle and spritz at Cafe Madrid. Back to normal life again...
And
then there was Wednesday. Kaisu's goodbye-party day. The day when I
realized how much these people mean to me. In the morning me, Moritz
and Patrick went to Venice to see Palazzo Ducale (Doodžide palee
peaks vist eesti keeles olema). Train ticket costs now 0,05 cents
more, so it's 3,55 € (OMG!) :D but I have to say I always like
Venice. Anyways, Palazzo Ducale or Doge's Palace was the residence of
the Doge of Venice (supreme authority) and nowadays it's used as a
museum where the entrance is for 8€. We couldn't take many pictures
inside because there was always a guy who told us not to do it but at
least some examples I have. There are so many halls so you can truly
imagine people living here and as we heard from our audioguide, the
doge was actually like a prisoner in his own building. He didn't have
actually any power and he couldn't leave the state.. But actually,
there is a real prison downstairs. I guess you've all heard about the
Bridge of Sighs- it was the last view of Venice that the prisoners
saw before their imprisonment. We indeed saw it .. and sighed as well.
After
the visit we tried to find the Italian flag for Kaisu, we didn't find
it but eventually Belen found it in Padova, so we didn't have to
hurry. Again we ate our favourite pizza and then headed back to
Padova.
At first I made garlic breads at Patrick, we did some
pre-drinking, Moritz draw me unicorns and then we were ready for
our awesome finnish party! :)
Now the story about collages for
Kaisu.. we made a calendar, so I had to make 12 awesome collages
before.. On Wednesday we were so close to get caught by her but she
didn't realize it. Collages are here and I have to say I'm pretty
proud with myself:
Also
we wrote all our wishes on Italian flag and a mask.. and around
midnight we gave it to her, singing our anthem: "Wonderwall."
I'm not able to say many tears were cried in this night but I have
to say they all came from the heart.
We
had again girls night @Asia and we- Kaisu, me, Asia, Belen, Teresa-
were up until 5.30 at least.. Next morning we had our new morning
coffee- beer with pompelmo- and had our last mensa with Kaisu. In
Padova there are many canteens but this one- Murialdo-I've never been
before. Should go more because they offer you real Sprite, Coca etc
and the food is more delicious than in the others and it's still
4€!!! :)
In
Padova there is a tradition to throw the laurea (graduator) to the
fountain in Prato della Valle. We wanted to do the same with Kaisu so
in case she needs clothes (of course she does) me and Moritz dropped
by his place to take some. Because of the Christmas decorations there
wasn't no water in Prato so we cycled again to Piazza dell'Erbe where
is a little bit smaller fountain. But it will do... So there she
went!
After
swimming in the fountain and sharing all the fun we had we went to
Ederle to drink some coffee/tea and as you can see we were pretty
tired...
Meanwhile
Madis let me know that they're back in Padova so me and Asia went
home to see the guys and take a nap for like 5 minutes.. In the
evening we had again a nice dinner (pizza/kebab) at Moritz' place.
But going back home (yeah, sorry, to Asia's place) wasn't that easy.
As Madis still doesn't have a bike and mamma-bambina team is so nice,
we tried to ride on a carrier but.. Asia's bikes wheel folded because
of the carrier and so we both fell down and we're rolling on the
street laughing hard.. Scusa mamma :* Actually I have a large bruise
on my thigh.. but we don't care..
Because today was the day when Kaisu left.. And it's going to happen to all of us...
Just a random song that I heard today when I left finally from the train station surroundings...
