At home and trying to survive

If I could put into words how much I love these people. Mi manchi!

This weeks have been rough. One story is about Val di Fiemme, the other one about my last days in Padova. And then Estonia.. .. Uff..
VAL DI FIEMME
So how was it? My first big competition abroad. Well, IT WAS SO AWESOME! As I've actually never seen any skiing competition with my own representation, then at first this made my impression. How close they are. How normal it is. And ski jumping. Uuuuh!!! Just perfect.
As in Estonia the national TV and radio are together, it's also pretty normal when sometimes I have to do interviews to the TV. So on thursday morning I went to Predazzo to make interviews of nordic combined ski jumping part for the TV, then I went to Lago di Tesero to interview women 4x5 relay (Marit Björgen FTW) and after that nordic combined skiing part. All the transportation was made by police cars. Of course. It's Italy, could you predict anything else? No :D

Policia...

But of course I wanted to come back to Padova on thursday. So I had to take the bus to Ora and from there train to Verona and then finally to Padova. It took pretty much time, around 4 hours but it felt so good when in the train station Madis, Thorina and Asia were waiting for me. :))

PADOVA- MARCH!!!

Friday (1st of march) morning. I wake up and I .. cannot see! It was a shock! But then I realized that of course my immune system is so damaged that I'm just so open to every kind of infections. I had imflammation of the eye!!! Farmacia and medicine it is.
As I didn't have the apartment since 25th, I was living with Asia next to the train station. But now Asia had to move as well, so we packed all day long and thanks to Madis somehow went all with our luggage to Moritz. Of course we went by taxi but I think that we had more than 10 bags so it was pretty funny.
I think we had the marsrute Asia-Madis-train station at least 3 times. Because of course we had to get some things to his place, then we needed to collect some stuff etc..
As Enric had birthday on Sunday, he celebrated this on Friday but as my eye was still pretty unshaped, I decided to go home.

Saturday (2
nd of March) promised Mattia to give us one boat trip and I have to agree, it was AMAZING! Although our trip was mostly drinking beer and screaming (okay, I was screaming because it was so cool!), the weather was perfect and I really felt again that I don't want to leave.. We visited 2 islands, I called them goat island and rabbit island. Actually we visited the ruins of one fortress (and we saw 2 dead goats and lots of alive goats running around), it reminded actually a little bit of Pakri because it was pretty wild.. And on the rabbit island.. Well, there were just a lot of rabbits and of course I was like a child in the candystore.. :)
(But as long as Madis hasn't given me the pictures, you have to get along with these: )

As I wanted to go so badly somewhere else than Padova, on Sunday Amaia agreed to come with me to Bassano del Grappa, in the end we were me, Thorina, Amaia, Moritz, Belen and Maria. And I have to say it was the best decision to be made! It's a small city 70 km north of Padova, near Vicenza but it's so beautiful...Again the weather was awesome so we just took time for ourselves.. :)

From Sunday evening we were living at Moritz place and as I had promised, I made pancakes on Monday morning. (Belen wanted to say to you that I CAN REALLY MAKE PANCAKES!) Of course we went to Prato della Valle to take some sun and study, and we bought the strawberries for 2€ for a kilo!!! Njomnjomnjom <3 Everything was just so perfect and I knew that this wonderful experience is going to end up with a huge mess. Mess in my heart and in my head..

Wednesday Padova was crying because of my leaving. I could understand that. And me and Asia were crying as well all the time.. When we went to mensa, went for the last coffee, last, last, last.. AND then I had to pack. I decided that I should buy one extra luggage so in the end I could give away 20+15 kg of luggage + 10kg of handluggage. But as I realised that I don't have any normal bag to fit in my handluggage, I dived into the rain and went to Chinese shop. But it was good- I got bag for 12€ and Oppa Gangnam Style t-shirt for 10€, hehehehehe...
But the most! GOODBYE PARTY!!

The event of MAMMA E BAMBINKA:

I don't remember much. Indeed. At some point we had to leave for Fishmarket but Asia lost the key of the bikechain so we couldn't unlock the bikes and we went to Pbar (shots for 1€) by somebody's car and after that to Fishmarket.. And then I arrived home by my own bike at 4 o'clock but where did I get my own bike, I don't remember xD

But the morning was even more awful. I couldn't even go to the taxi without throwing up so for the last time me and Amaia rode the bikes.. And actually I didn't realise this importance of the moment so much until I was finally in the train.. and it started moving. I've been unhappy for a couple of times but this time I really felt that I'm going to leave my family behind and maybe i'm never ever going to see them again.. Although I hope that. A lot. I love them.

I just loved when Magnus (still drunk) showed up.. I think that nobody was clearly sober 11am in the morning in Padova train station

The last moment..

Marsrute Padova-Milano Centrale-Orio al Serio aeroporto was exhausting but I managed it. Of course I had to repack one of my suitcases in the airport but come on, I'm awesome! Ryanair was full of estonian children, drunk british bachelors and people who tried to stand them. When we landed (wow, even 15 minutes before the right time), they were singing “Estonia!” with the melody of Italian anthem.. Couldn't felt more home, heheh.

But what has happened so far? ESTONIA Is cold and still a bit weird. Is icy.

I love it but I love Padova more. I miss my small Padova. And it keeps haunting me.
On my first schoolday, I saw on my faculty building 2 flags- estonian and.. ITALIAN. Later on, my professor explained me that we had the embassador visiting..

Then, in RSR-Circle of International relations-we had a lecturer from Italy. From northern Italy. From... dümdümdüm.. PadovapaPadovapaPadovaPAUURAAA!!! And of course we talked about the elections..

And wednesday.. Habemus papam! It's wonderful that I found TV online stream and now I can always watch italian TV! :) Mi piace.

But I just cannot get over my people who are 2000 km away.. and I miss them so much :*
